Microbe Investigations AG (MIS) provides reliable, fast, affordable product development and quality control.

The present era is just like a fairy tale of progress around us. Life depends more or less on mechanism, skills, power, efficiency and uniform quality by setting standards of the product.

The word test would scare people before 2020, but now in these unprecedented times, getting tested has become the new normal. The test is the most common phenomenon. It is hugely used in all fields. In fact, getting tested should be everyone’s priority as it’s better to stay safe and protected than sorry. And when we talk about global standards, the test is mandated to reach the customer’s satisfaction.

In our day to day life, everything we use comes in contact with many microorganisms. Though most of them are harmless, they contaminate and cause many health hazards. Some microbes help in forming the nutritive quality of the food, and at the same time, some other microbes spoil the food. There are various methods to ensure the quality of these microorganisms and the standardization as well. The tests are Synergy test, Checkerboard test, bactericidal test with ISO:16212:2011, ISO 21148:2009, ISO 22196 etc. JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD is found to be one of the best validated antimicrobial tests.

It is a sensitive process and has set its own standard for industries.

We all are aware of the large usage of plastic and its hazardous nature. So it is becoming very important to check the quality before bringing it into use. The plastic covers available in the market are available in various forms. So a quantitative antimicrobial test is a must. JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD is fast enough to get it done.

About JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD

The Japanese Industrial Standard, JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD, is the most effective quantitative antimicrobial test meant for solid surfaces like plastic, textile non woven texture metal and ceramic products. It is internationally standardized as ISO 22196. Initially, it was developed for the Japanese market, and later it was globally accepted in a very wide range because of its quick testing duration and reliability. Basically, JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD is an antimicrobial test where two strains of two different bacteria named Escherichia Coli and Staphylococcus Aureus are used as test organisms. Any product under this undergoes antimicrobial activity by determining the number of viable bacteria under different environmental conditions like heat, humidity, UV etc. The duration of the test is 24 hours, whereas other test methods take a much longer time. In the process, the products are allowed to be washed to extract the bacteria and then diluted and plated in colonial units. The evaluation is validated by ensuring the effectiveness of the antimicrobial agents. The sequential order to check the activity are sample collection, sterilization, inoculation. Incubation, wash and shake and count. These six keen steps of the methods are the best quantitative ones.

Requirement for test

  • The specimen should be collected in pieces.
  • Minimum 6 pieces are necessary.
  • The surface of the sample should be smooth.
  • Sample should be 5 X 5 cm.

As and in

  • JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD is the specified quantitative test method.
  • It is reliable and globally validated.
  • Its standards have reached the maximum range of products worldwide.
  • It maintains its quality and technical efficacy by understanding the requirements.
  • It supports product development well with quality control.
  • It keeps its originality the best.
  • Specially designed for a quantitative test.
  • Reproducibility is satisfactory.
  • Fulfilling the guidelines.

Weakness

  • Sometimes it fails to represent the actual surface of contamination.
  • It is a little challenging for products like plastic and nonwoven material.
  • Time duration of incubation varies as the microbial contaminants dry quicker than other types.
  • Size is bigger in this method than other microbial ones.

The Japanese Industrial standards were made to validate the efficacy of antimicrobial activity in 2000 but came into the market with standardization in 2007. It is mainly used to measure the antibacterial activity of daily goods. Today we are exposed to many things made of plastic, ceramic and textile materials also. So checking and assessing the quantitative antimicrobial activity is a must and should requisite. In this pandemic situation, it is most important to take care of every aspect of safety. When Delta + is about to knock on our door, should we not be more cautious about our health? Good health comes with a neat atmosphere, and the environment is fresh with good products we use in our lives. So let us all be focused and keenly be observant towards it. The more we are influenced by different things, the less we think about their purity. So the methods to crisscross should be easy and significant. So as to know the purity and wholesomeness of the goods. JIS Z 2801 TEST METHOD is easy, reliable and quick enough to trust and follow. The properties and the outcome of it are excellent. The longer stability and finest technical validation had made this to get ISO 22196 efficacy. The effective values and unique approach of this test have gained and acquired a good place in the market. Market and the customers always look for something very easy to understand and transparent to see through the product. ISO has made the market more reliable in terms of quality and quantity as well. It gives us a relaxing feeling to go for hassle-free usage of life-related processed products and daily use goods. On the other hand, we can see it broadly for the long run of life.
